Behind the Scenes: Building The Quiet Place

The Quiet Place didn’t begin as a business plan. It began as a need — simple, personal, and quietly urgent.
At first, it was about storage. A growing collection of teaware, tea leaves, art supplies, and little things I couldn’t bear to throw away. The kind of objects that didn’t quite belong in cupboards, but also couldn’t be left unseen. So, I made a space for them.
But really, it was about something else: A void I couldn’t name — only feel.
The Quiet Place became a way to fill that space. To house not just objects, but a part of myself that needed somewhere to land.
It started with just me, fermenting in that little room — making tea and watching countless art videos. It felt like a secret getaway, a world apart from the world.
Gradually, I began to offer in-person tea sessions. The clink of cups, the scent of leaves opening, quiet moments and intimate stories shared around a table. It was simple. And it was enough. For a while.
But as life shifted, I had to pause the gatherings — not the intention.
Thank you for reading.
There’s more to come — slowly, thoughtfully, in time.
With care, L
